This course provides a broad range of international issues relevant for students to be able to follow ongoing international events in world politics. It helps students to engage in major international political trends. Hence, the course first pays attention to the environmental issues which are gaining momentum day by day in the international agenda. Second, it uncovers the relationship between international terrorism and globalization. Third, the course addresses nuclear proliferation which is of vital importance for international security since the Cold War. Fourth, it deals with the international migration flows and their probable risks for the stability of the international environment. Fifth, it unveils the problem of poverty, development, and hunger in international relations. Sixth, the course examines regionalism in international affairs. Finally, it details the humanitarian intervention and its consequences in world politics.
