The discipline involves the study of the main thermodynamic cycles of refrigeration machines and structures operating on these cycles. Methods for determining the refrigeration load and other basic parameters of refrigeration equipment are studied. Organizational and technical measures to increase the efficiency of refrigeration systems, save energy, as well as methods for eliminating typical malfunctions during operation are considered.
